Kayla Carlson

RCAD Alumni 2009 // Fine Art

Kayla Carlson grew up overseas, in Japan and Holland, before heading to Florida to attend Ringling. The work presented includes explorations of her growth, with the physical depiction of growth in nature. The peculiarities of space and the ability to alter our focuses on landscape is explored through her sculpture and print work. Micro and macro, barnacles to mountains, act as units to abstract. She works with both traditional and non-traditional materials and techniques. Kayla plans on traveling overseas and throughout the United States to further her interests.
