Artist Statement: "The technique I use involves the application of many thin layers of oil paint, glazes, over metallic foils. Light refracts through the glazes, giving an illusion of depth and movement with subtle color changes. The picture plane is no longer static, but "alive". I term my work "atmospheric abstracts." Light, color and simple forms come together in a way that allows the viewer to experience my paintings on many levels.
