Stephen Burpee has always enjoyed being creative in many different ways. As an Illustrator and painter, images and stories of the Middle age and Renaissance time periods have always been a large influence.

The inspiration for making jewelry originated from a visit to a Renaissance Faire. There, chainmail and different forms of decoration on costumes intrigued and captured the imagination. After many years of attending Celtic Festivals and Renaissance Faires, the creation of jewelry from chain links, and making interesting charms from metal became a favorite hobby. It has now become more than a hobby and is a favorite form of expressing creativity and imagination.
