Heather Heckel

RCAD Alumni 2009 // Illustration Artist Statement: I have always been fascinated with art and biology; I esepecially enjoy drawing parallels between seemingly inrelated subjects. One of my conclusions was that the shape of an elephant's ear and truck mimic the shape of the human pelvis and spin. Currently Heather is a screen production artist at Team Edition Apparel in Bradenton, Fl. She spends her summers in Manhattan teaching art at Usdan Center for Creative and Performing Arts. Heather continues to do local freelance and is trying to find a publisher for her children’s book. Her hobbies include bowling, reading, and animal rights activism.
