Artist Statement: In my most recent work, I have found a harmony between sculpture, painting and performance. As I’m working on a piece, I bring to it all of my feelings and emotions. Making art is a way for me to work through stress and be able to deal with whatever is going on in my life. A lot of my work is about the vulnerability and a loss I feel within myself. In some pieces, I am dealing with the frustrations of traumatic situations. While in other works, I am content just to remember the good times. My artwork is very delicate and refined. I am very much a perfectionist and it shows through in my work. I have been fascinated with nature and organic shapes throughout my whole life. As I continue to study Fine Arts at Ringling, I intend to concentrate on painting and sculpture
