Sam Nagel

Samantha Nagel is from Stuart, FL and a graduate of Ringling College of art and Design. Her artwork is influenced by her recent studies in illustration with a focus on oil painting and other traditional media, as well as art and healing, color interpretation, and the fine arts. “My involvement in community workshops utilizing the interdisciplinary arts as a method of healing has shaped my view on what is art and how it affects those who perceive it. Each piece is conceived from the colors and shapes I experience in daily life, the way light reacts to dark and pulls out hints of vibrant color that may go unseen to the less observant eye. I am inspired by the nuances of perception, how sight shapes the realities of each individual’s experience; and through my artistic creations I am intrigued by the possibility of inciting subtle shifts in the perceptions of those who observe it.”
