Jason Kochis is a freelance artist who specializes in custom illustrations and graphic design. He graduated with a BFA in Illustration from Ringling College of Art in 1997.
After graduation, Jason combined his love of art and music by designing commemorative gig posters for the alternative rock bands Superdrag, Dinosaur Jr., Nada Surf, Letters To Cleo, The Descendents, and Guided By Voices. An art director at Live Nation saw his poster work and contacted him to design apparel for the recording artists Nirvana, Kiss, Def Leppard, Ozzy Osbourne, Motley Crue, and Tim McGraw.
Jason's list of freelance clients also include the Coca-Cola Company, Comcast, the Atlanta Braves, Cartoon Network, Roctober Magazine, Play Imaginative Toys, Circuspunks Toys, Clutter Magazine, and Glurp Records. His work has been published in the Art of Modern Rock: The Poster Explosion, Tres Logos, LogoLounge Master Library, and Los Logos 4.
Jason successfully crowdfunded a book called "Rock Soldier" that collects over 350 gig poster designs he created during his career. His work is often described as brightly colored, cartoony, and whimsical.
