 Susan Everitt
Alumni Computer Animation'96

Susan Everitt decided to be an artist at age 10, using a leftover paint-by-number set and a piece of cardboard she painted a portrait of her younger sister. Since that early start as a “fine artist”, she took detours through many careers, including a long stint in the fire service, a short stint as an animator, and other less exciting career choices, eventually returning to creating fine art in 2013.
In addition to scratchboard, she also works in acrylics, oils, colored pencils, watercolors, pastels, and other mediums. Susan explores a variety of subjects, including wildlife, nature, and childhood, captured in fleeting moments. Her award-winning scratchboard artwork has been included in several International Society of Scratchboard Artists exhibitions including Arizona, Maryland, Iowa and North Carolina; in the 2024- 2026 Johnson City, TN Founder’s Park Public Arts Banner Exhibition; and in private collections throughout the United States.
Susan lives and works in beautiful northeast Tennessee.
