Susann Carrington has been an artist since first grade when she was scolded for designing paper furniture instead of paying attention in class. Her interest in art continued into adulthood and Susann worked in a myriad of mediums over the years ranging from oil to print making prior to graduating from Ringling College of Art and Design. A senior graphic designer for an inter-national communications company, Susann continues to explore the link between fine art and dignifying commonplace, reused objects in her assemblage art sculptures.

 

"A found object sculpture, is a one-of-a-kind original created using recycled china, porcelain figurines and other materials hand-selected by me during my travels. When creating a new piece, I allow the reclaimed objects themselves to inspire the flow of my creativity."
